MEN ESCAPE FLAM S
Two Dashwood men escaped with
a calf from a blazing auto on. 83
Highway, about a mile northeast of
Exeter. The car's interior was gut-
ted, and damage was set at 8300.

-from Stratford where they had bo

shooting up from the floor boards.
'The pair barely escaped with the

Mrs.: Flossie Brown. had a pleasant
visit at the home of her friends, Mr
and Mrs. Roy Oliver at St. I,artys on
Sunday.
Mr and Mrs. J. A. Banko, (bridal
couple) returned from their wedding
trip and spent the week -end at the
home of their parents, Mr and Mrs
Wm. Hay. They will reside in Lon-
don.

mer manufacturer at St. Joseph. Mr.
Bissonette, as legion hos it, put St

Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Gingerich of
the Goshen south received a much
surprised telephone call from Kitch-
ener
ener last Friday evening, when their
eldest son Cyril, who is attending
the 'Mennonite College at Harrison,
Virginia, had arrived by plane in Kit -
choler. to say "Hello" to the family.
He accompanied Mr. Brunk, owner
of the plane and a teacher Th the Col_
lege and another student, Mr. New
ton 'Gingerich of Kitchener. ZTr,
Brunk was the guest ;bleaker at the
Rocky Mennonite School Commence-
ment last Friday evening, and made
the trip by air in four hours. Mr.
