England is a tourist's paradise. In Ontario we do not know where to go to see a place of interest, whereas here one finds so many places of real historical importance and interest. The weather has been ideal. There has been continual sunshine, but no extreiii heat. I have seen no signs of a depression. There is plenty of food at cheaper prices than in Wind- sor. London has been bombed. Sixty thousand people were killed. But the English are recovering very nicely from their war wounds. The country roads are full of bicycles and hikers. However there are no signs of young people. The young men are apparent- ly drafted to serve for 16 morals in the army. The English people are very hospitable, and ready to go' out of their way to assist one. Everyone seems to thank you for rendering you a service. You never hear an automobile horn as in Canada.. No one seems to be in any special hurry. met a few Englishmen who had travelled in Canada. They told me they had been impressed by the Can- adian hospitality and kindness. So, there you are! I still have more of England to gee which will do after my return from Ireland and Scotland. I a.m leaving. for Ireland on Wednesday. I am becoming a seasoned traveller. One naturally gets wise to many things with time. Fortunately my health has come back to me because my former fears have now disappear- ed.
