drowned in a well by his fetlier shor
tly after five ori. Aug 9th:. The boy
had been playing near the house
with his 4 yr. old brother; who- ran
to the barn and told his father he
could' not final' -G'arnett- A short
search tb7 the father revealed that
the tot was at the' 'bottom of a well
50 feet deep. Mr Becker --ent' doiwn
by a rope and brought the boy to the
surface and lie was• attended soon af-
ter by Dr: Woolner, of Ayr, but
could not be resuscitated: It is es-
timated that the- child was' to the-
water
hewater 15 minutes. Some boards were
loose at the top of the well and it is
supposed' that the child while playing
moved one and . toppled in. This
child tieing a Brands n of (nee Eva
Brown)' daughter of the rate Mr and
Mrs. Jacob Brown who Ti'ved' in the
Zuridli community.
