Mr and Mrs. Frank Siebert and
sons of Detroit, are holidaying with
the former's- mother in town.
Mr and Mrs. W. H. Brokenshire
and Mrs. Louis Kalbfleisch motored
to London on Friday.
Sorry to 'report that Mr. Daniel
Oswald of the Bronson line continues
to be laid up with an infection on his
leg, and unable to do his work.
Messrs. Ivan Kalbfleisch and Vic-
tor Dinnin attended the meeting of
the Masonic Grand Lodge held at
Toronto on July the 12th.

Finkbeiner of Sarnia are guests at
the home of their friends, Mr and
Mrs. Ed. Wuerth this week.
Mr and Mrs. Garivin Prang, of
Winnipeg, Man., were resent visitors
with, their aunt and uncle, Mr. and
Mrs. 1,,ouis !Prang of town,
Mrs. M. MacKinnon returned to
her home after spending a few holi-
days with her son, Hugh and Mrs.
MacKinnon at St. Thomas. •

thern part of Ontario this week.

and Mrs. Jack Coupland enjoyed a
lovely motor trip along Lake Huron
to Southampton and Collingwood.
Then returned home by inland drive.
enjoying the beatutiful scenery that
nature has provided us with, over
the week -end.
Advertising Does Pay!
Surely it does, if in doubt just
ask Mr. Leonard Geromette Just
north of town.. Last Thursday he
adverti.ed 40 pigs for sale and by
Friday night was cleaned out com-
pletely. However the advertising
medium does not claim all the credit,
as one must also have the "goods" to
make sale, and that is just what the
advertiser in this case has!
Arrived Home
Mr. Herb Kraft of Detroit, Mr.
and Mrs. R. F. Stade have arrived
home from their almost two weeks'
auto tour, where they enjoyed the
beauty of Northern Ontario. visiting
Pembroke, Algonquin Park, Timmins,
Sudbury, North Bay, and Kirkton
Lake. The roads' being in good con-
dition and taking plenty of time to
see the lovely countryside and town
and cities as they travelled along.
Hot Weather
Fine rains greeted these parts of
Ontario the past week, and all kinds
of growth is go6d. Farmers are busy
with the harvest, which is proving to
be a good crop, and in another week
there will be little left in the fields,
as many are ;all through now. The
weatherman is giving us plenty of
hot summer weather, as day after
day the mercury climbs up to around
the 90 mark, which is plenty warm
for this part of the world.
