Plenty of Fruit
What at one time looked like a
complete failure, owing to late frost,
fruit in this district is becoming
more plentiful as time goes on. There
will be considerable apples and pears
later on, plums also look promising.
Strawberries were not so •plentiful
owing to the drough, but raspberries
are surely making up for this. As
the recent rainy have pushed this
crop along wonderfully. In fact
some growers hardly know where to
go with them. The housewife is
quite jubilant lover the fact that she
can the first time in many years put
in a good ample supply of this lusci-
ous fruit at only 25 cents for a big
quart boy. We think the pear crop
will also be quite bounteous.

HYMENEAL
Brown — Hunt Wedding
At Grate United Church, London,
summer flowers arranged with fern
formed the setting for a pretty bridsl
on Saturday when Joyce Henrietta,
only daughter of Mr and Mrs Percy
E. Hunt, York street, London, be-
came the bride of William 0. Brown,
youngest son of Mr and Mrs John W.
Brown, of Zurich. Rev. S. A. Moote
officiated and Mrs. Cyril Fagan pre-
sided at the organ, playing a soft
background of bridal music.
Mrd. Jack Greves sang "The Lord's
Prayer" and "Because." Percy E.
Hunt gave his daughter in marriage.
Her gown of white slipper satin was
fashioned with a drop shoulder, the
net yoke .outlined with self -trimming.
The full skirt .was designed in apron
effect, draped to form a bustle, the
fullness extending to form ,a slight
train, in satin and net halo held her
full 'length veil and she carrred an
arm bouquet of red roses. She wore
the groom's gift, a cameo. Mrs. How-
ard Hostettler, sister of the groom,
was matron of honor, gowned in or-
chid satin, her mohair headdress trim-
med with orchid satin roses. She car-
ried a colonial bouquet of yellow
roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaid
Miss Helen Johnston and 1VIiss Betty
Jarman were gowned identically in
pale green faille taffeta with match-
ing picture hats and colonial bou-
quets of pink roses and sweet peas.
Dr. Howard Hostettler groomsman
and the ushers were Keith Hunt and
Clare Hunt, brothers of the bride.
For her daughter's wedding Mrs.
Ilunt wore a navy dress with white
accessories and a corsage of pink
carnations. Mrs, Brown, mother of
the groom, was dressed in pale blue
with beige accessories, her corsage
of Talisman roses. Following a re.
