several days over the week -end vis-
iting at the homes of his sisters, Mrs
Emily Fuss and Mrs. Bertha Block.
Mr and Mrs. Joe Swartz and da-
ughter, Mrs, Whitney and children
of Detroit are spending a few days
at the home of their mother, Mrs.
Emily Fuss.
Mr. Herbert K. Either of Crediton
Mrs. Ward Fritz and daughter Mary
Lou of town were week -end visitors
with relatives and friends in the
Lucknow and Kincardine district,
Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Schoch and
Mr. and Mrs. James Parkins spent
a very pleasant week -end up on their
summer island in the Parry Sound
district. The men engaged in some
fine fishing of which they were very
succe ttful.

tended the Home Builders' Show at
Toronto.
St. Peter's Lutheran church will
hold its annual memorial service on
Sunday, June 12th at 3.00 p. In•
It has been decided to depart from
the usual custom of holding the ser-
vice at the Cemetery. The service
will be held in the church. The
speaker will he the Rev. C. S. Rob-
erts of Preston.
Returned From Hospital
Mr. Conrad Schilbe has returned
from St. Joseph's Hospital, London,
where he had been for .observation,
and is progressing favourably. His
many friends wish him a speedy ce
covert'.
Is At Victoria Hospital
Mr. Louis Kalbfleisch is at present
a patient in Victoria Hospital, Lon-
don, where he underwent an operat-
ion on Tuesday. We are pleased to
report that he is getting along nicely
His many friends wish him a speedy
recovery.
Newly Weds Return
Mr and Mrs Earnest Laidlaw,
(bridal couple) have returned home
after enjoying a pleasant trip, to the
Western Province of. Manitoba
where they visited with the formers
parents in Cartwright and sister at
Winnipeg and Brandon.
Attended Opening
Mrs. P. J. O'Dwyer attended the
opening of the new hospital wing at
Clinton on the afternoon of May 12,
which was largely attended. Those
helped pouring tea in the afternoon
were Mrs P. J. O'Dwyer of Zurich
and Mrs. A. Addison, Clinton.
Attended Graduation
Mr and Mrs Herb Krueger and
Fon Campbell, Mrs. Ivan Yungblut,
Miss Doreen Schilbe and Pauline
Haberer attended the Nurses Gradu-
ation exercises of Victoria Hospital,!
London, last Tue•day, held on the
University grounds in Convocation
Hall, where the farmer's daughter,
Jean was among the fine class_ of
girls, who all appeared Charming
with their sheaf of red roses and
snow white uniforms. A big day of
rejoicing for both graduates and
parents along with relatives and frt-
iends. We congratulate Jean for her
splendid success and wish her ..con-
tinued happiness with her profession.
