• PREMIER'S VISIT -
One of the highlights of the day
was the reception given to the prime
minister at Zurich, this traditionally
Liberal community, •Wai enfete for
the occasion with banners and strea-
mers and bands. Here, of all the plac-
es that Mr. St. Laurent so far has vis-
ited, he was given the type of spon-
taneous and rousing welcome that
hitherto has been noticeably lacking.
He paid tribute to the services ren-
dered the riding of Huron -Perth by
its retired member, W. H. Golding.
So valuable had been those services
he said that he hcped that is would
not be long before Mr. Golding would
be called to serve the Canadian nat-
ion, if not in.the ,Com.mons, then
elsewhere. Thi g' undoubtedly was a
reference to the likelihood of Mr.
Golding being named shortly to 'the,.. -; • . •

V. Workman of Seaforth, who took
Iill on Friday last. Music was furnish-
ed by the male quartette of Seaforth
Miss Greta Lammie presided at, the
