Ladies Organize
A Ladies' Softball Team has been
organized in Zurich and should give
the local ball fans some great thrills
this summer. The team is being
'managed by Herb Tuerkheim and is
being sponsored by the Kalbfleisch
Planing Mills. The season opens on
Friday, May 27th with the Dashwood
Ladies as the opposing team. We
hope a good turnout will come and
give this team a good, support. At
present it has not been decided
where the games will be played, but
it will be announced in next week's
paper. Don't forget the opening
'game, and keep the date open, here
in Zurich, on Friday, May 27th with
'the Dashwood ladies as opponents.

Lions Club News
With a perfect attendance present,
the Lions had a splendid meeting on
Monday evening at the Dominion
House. The guests were Don Charl-
ton, the new member, and Jack Coup -
land of the Bank of Montreal Staff.
Mr. Ross Hay, who has distinction
in the Professional Medical Animal
Husbandry, sponsored by the Quak-
er Oats Company, entertained the
Lions with some picture reels he ran
off, along agricultural ,edticational
lines. We don't know of ever seeing
so much nice beef and pork in the
carcass as in these pictures. And
after partaking of the usual good hig
supper, we filed to see any 'Lions"
licking their elrops when tney saw
all this fine meat, although in picture
