Victor Dinnin were at Toronto an
business over the week -end,

unseasonable warm weather, there
is a most wonderful growth for this
time of iyear.
To Mr and Mrs. Roy Clark of the
Bronson line south, a son, at the Bat-
ten Nursing Home, Exeter, on May
1st,
Mr. Paul Hess returned to Toronto
after spending some time at the home
of his parents, Mr and Mrs. A. F.
Hess. __
We are pleased to report that Mrs
Wm. S. Johnston is progressing fav-
ourably and able to enjoy the good
fresh air and sun on her verandah.
Miss Shirley Fairbairn has taken
a position ,on the :,toff of the Bank
of Montreal, in Zurich. Her many
friends wish her every success.
Mrs. Wm. Miller of Goderich,
visited at the home of her daughter,
Dr and Mrs W. B. Coxon a few days
last week,
Mr. Henry Lawrence of Mitchell,
was in town Wednesday, Mr. Law-
rence has recently purchased the
Hicks House in that town and has al-
ready take possession.
Mother's Day will be observed in
the Evangelical U. 13. Church here
next Sunday, 1VIay 8th and there will
be a number of infant baptisms in
the morning service.
A goodly number of people from
this community attended the Evang-
elical Conference on Sunday held at
Milverton, where large crowds heard
veres impressive speakers.
Mr and Airs Herb Krueger, Mrs.
Louis Schilbe, M•rs, Ivan Yungblut,
motored to London on Wednesday to
visit with the former's daughter, Jean
who is nurse -in -training at Victoria
Hospital of that city.
Mr. Thos. Meyers and daughter
Mrs. E. Brown motored to the latter's
home ,at (Port Colborne last 'Wednes-
day, after Mrs. Brown had spent
some time at the home of her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Meyers.
The Zurich Womens Institute will
hold the next meeting on Tuesday,
evening May 10th. Mrs. Oliver of
the London Free Press staff will
speak. The roll call is to be 'answered
by the name of a famous Mother.

Miss Patricia ODWyer, B.S.C. of
town, mot'ored to Chatham last week
to visit at the home of her sister, Mr
and Mrs Stuart Stover. She was ac-
companied home by her brother,
Michael, who enjoyed the Easter
week with his sister and eamily.
Returned From Hospital
Mrs. Rudy Oesch has returned
from the Hospital, at London; and is
getting along nicely. Her many fri-
ends wish her a speedy recovery.
Mrs. H. H. Cowan and Miss Pearl
Wurtz of Exeter called on friends in
town one day last week.

Much sympathy is felt for Mr.
Wm. Rennie in the loss of his bro-
ther, Mr. John Rennie who passed a-
way suddenly on Sunday a.m. at the
