town last Friday, looking orver the
situation in preparation for the an-
ticipation of a general election.

attended the Progressive Conservat-
ive Convention, at Mitchell on Satur-
day evening, at which Mr. J. Elgin
McKinley of Zurich was chosen as
the standard bearer for the Huron -
Perth riding.
Mr and 'Mrs Bruce Koehler and
daughter Joan, enjoyed the week -end
with relatives in Toronto. Little
Nancy Craig, who came with her
grandma, Mrs. Nancy Koehler;' two
weeks ago, returned to the city with
Mr. and Mrs. B. Koehler.

Anne” was shown at St. Peter's
Lutheran Church on Sunday even-
ing to a splendid apdierbee. The film
showed the work being done among
displaced persons in Europe, the eff-
orts that are being made to rehabil-
itate them. • To see these pictures

Saw Deer
As Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hese were
driving south on the Babylon line
shortly after seven on Sunday even-
ing, they observed a most beautiful
sight of six full grown deer on a

Hess stopped the car and attempted
