Roy History was made in Huron Co- unty last week, When milk producers representing all sections of the Co-. unty, met in the Agricultural Board Room, Clinton, to discuss the whole milk situation. Hugh Hill of Colborne was chosen Chairman of the gathering of, over 60 producers and Barry Walter. of Goderich acted as secretary. Mr. Hill after explaining briefly the pur- pose of Milk Producers League, to explain the advantages of forming a County organization. After listening to Mr. Cousins, dis- cussing the proposals and present County situation, a emotion introdu- ced by George Feagan of Goderich to form a County organization was passed unanimously, with the follow- ing board elected to represent the in- terests in each centre: Goderieh, Hugh Hill, Clinton, Andrew 17esek, Wingham, Geo. Torbert; Seaforth, Pete Simpson; Exeter, Gerald God - bolt; Hensall, Oliver Rowcliffe; Zur- ich, Wtn.. Decker; Brussels, Ross Cardif and Blyth to be named. This new organization should be- nefit producers, distributors, and consumers by providing a uniform price throughout the County, and would work to advantage when pri- ces drop, as well as when they ad- vance. Public Meeting public meeting is being called in :the town hall, Zurich on Saturday •evening; April 9th, for all the mem- bers• of the Zurich Agricultural So- ciety to decide on the moving of the fairgrounds to a suitable location at the south end of town, where it could be ad'jofiied by the new com- munity centre which is under con- sideration, and which would be close to the school grounds. Lions Club, News Another supper meeting of perfect attendance was in order on Monday evening at the Dominion House, and a fine supper' and evening was spent by the• Liens;. A. real treat was in store by an address by Dr. Stewart Lott, of 'Sarnia, assistant at the pro- vincial cancer clinic in Vietorta Hos- pital; London `STT'he family doctor is the first line of defence in treatment of cancer" declared Dr. Lott.
