of a family of eight. Those from a
distance whe attended the fun-
eral were Mr and :Mrs Geo. :Stephen-

Hoffman, ARhnonte, Mich. Interin-
ent was in Hayfield cemetery.
Goshen WMS Meete
The March meeting of the Goshen
WIVIS was held at the home of Mrs.
C. G. McBride. The president open-
ed the meeting with the theme 'Thy
Kingdom Came," and 1,1/1rs. Russel
Erratt at the organ. The Hymn "City
of God, how Broad and Fair", was
sung, after Which silent prayer.
"Work for the Night is Coming" was
then sung. 'Mrs. J. •McKinley gave a
St. Patrick's reading. Mrs. Elgin IVIts
Kinley took up the business. Minut-
es were read and adopted and the
roll called and answered by a Script-
ure verse. Mrs. Armstrong ended the
study book with Mrs. R. Robinson as-
sisting. Mrs. McKinle y offered pray-
er and the offering received. A card
of thanks was read.

Hugh Gilmore went to Clinton
Public Hospital where he -underwent
an operation similar to that recently
-performed en His Majesten King
-George VI. It was done to improve
the circulation of his left leg which
has been giving .him trouble since a
pank fell. on his foot when, he was
.aesisting in the building a the' Hay-
field- Fire Hall.

Mrs. George King met with an un-
fortunate accident when she sustain-
ed a fracture to her left hip:She wpa
kneeling in front lof the eitame on one
knee, examining the grates, ewnen she
inadvertently toughed the hat stove.
This caused her to jerk ai-iy and
sedhe lost her balance and fell over
-of. the floor. Mr. King •assisted.. her
to a chair where she remained until
-medical aid arrived and was 'taken
.to the Hospital for treatment.

the camp is established, or in Unorganized di's,
tricts, to the inspector of Provincial Police in
that district.
