were Sunday visitors at the home of
Mr and Mrs Gordon Howald.

Return from the South
Mr. Oscar Klopp 'of town and his
son, Mr and Mrs Harold Klopp of
Grand Bend, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Gingerich of. the Babylon Line have
i;;'.Eturned from Florida, after spend-
•iig a few -months in that land of sun-
shine, and they tell us that the sun
)ally does ,shine there, and this be-
epeaks for itself when We notice • the
nice tans they are sporting. Our
many thanks to Earl for a few nice
Florida tree -ripened oranges, we do
enjoy them. It must be, quite a
thrill to walk around in these gard-
ens with the ground all coved with
this luscious fruit, as well as the bea-
utiful sights on the trees.
Lions Club News
A nice evening was enjoyed by
the .local Lions on Monday night,
after the usual bountious supper, at
the Dominion House, the Lions were
entertained by Lion Victor, who run
off a few reels of educational pictur-
es, which seemed veriy interesting.
At the close of the meeting a cash
donation was voted towards the pur-
chasing of artilcal legs for an unfor-
tunate resident of the community.
The matter of organizing a band in
town was also under discussion, tins
was left tj the Boys and Girls' Com-
mittee.
Mr and Mrs Lloyd Stiery and two
children of Tavistock; Mr and Mrs,
Carlile Hi•ltz of Petersburg visited
with the latter':; .sister, Mr, and Mrs

Mrs. L. Goodbread and daughter,
Ruth, of Detroit, gave us a friendly
call ou Wednesday. They were oeer
for the day, attending the auction

MUCH CREDIT DUE
A great deal of credit is due to
the youth of the village and especi-
ally the hockey team, which spon-
sored a St. Patrick's Day Dance and
turned the entire proceeds over to
the building fund of the Comnanity
Recreation Centre to be built here.
$73.00 was realized from this ven-
ture and we understand that this
same group of enthusiastic youth
have other plans in mind to help a-
long in the drive for funds for tier
Centre. You are showing the right
spirit boys and .your ecorts will sure-
ly be rewarded in no small measure.

The Unique Farm Forum met for
their last meeting at the home of Mr
and Mrs. Clift'. Pepper with 40 mem-
