Many Attend Convention
A large number of citizens of this
district attended the big Liberal
Convention in the Town Hall, Hen -
sail, on Saturday afternoon, at which
the Hon. Ste.wart S. Gerson, minister
of justice, and ex -premier of Mani-
toba ad -dressed the Convention. The
past. president, Mr. Albert Kalbbeisch
of, Zurich was chairman, another in-
teresting speaker was Robert Mc-
Cubbin, M.P., Middlesex. The pres-
ent member for this riding, Mr. W.
H. Golding, of Seaforth, expressed
his retirement after this session, es
he will not run another election. A
shakeup in the officers of the organ-
ization resulted, in W. H. Whyte, of
Seaforth, ,President; Ivan Kalbfieisch
Zurich Vice Pres; Benson Tuckey of
Exeter. Secretary and Roy Lamont
of Zurich Treasurer. The London
Free Press. of Monday showed sorne
interesting pictures of pereonell. We
would remark about the two good
looking -delegates from Zurich, Mil-
fred Selailbe, chairman of the Zurich
Police_Trustee Board, and Albert
Kalbileisch who is the retiring presi-
dant.

W. R. Lobb, President of Huron
County Federation of Agriculture is
in Ottawa this week, along with a
delegation keen. Middlesex and. ad-

be headed by R. W. Morrison,. Pres.
of the Ontario Federation and will,
appear -before the Dom. Cabinet to
press for legislation to, increase the
compensation paid for condemned
cattle under the T.B. testing program
now being carried out in the County'.

meeting was held in Clinton on Fri-
day, MarchIllth. Due to the absence
