REV. W. A. BEECROFT
Who performed the Dedication
Exercises
As the church bell called the folk
to come to church on Sunday morn-
ingservices and many from quite a
distance, the fine new red -brick
biulding was soon filled to -capacity,
and the pastor, Rev. Miss Reba Hern
officiated; Rev. Solomon Baechler, of
the Blake A. M. Church spo&e very
fittingly to the large .audience, for
their courage, loyalty, etc, he also
read- the scripture lesson. ne.V. W.
A. Beecroft, of Wingharn, -chairman
of the -Huron Preabytexy took charge
of the Dedication exercises of this
new church which stands opposite to
the former White Church, -and gave
a very stirring message on "Our
Relative to Church." The auditoriurn.
was jammed full to the doors at
both morning and evening services.
An amplification system installed by
Hess Electric of Zurich carried the
services to the basement where, many
people also worshiped. The church
choir rendered fitting nnmeers and
favoured the audience with several
special numbers. A very fine spirit
prevailed -and the hospitality ,of the
Goshen members will not -be forgot-
ten for time to come. Rev, Robert
Cummings of Lucite, gave the evert-
ing measage, and spoke very fittingly
encouraging the people to live eloee
with God.
We join they many friends in con-
aTatulating these people for tills line
effort in putting over this live linie.-
ing project, which is a tredit to, any
eornirtunity. We wish them God's
Blessings in their co-ntinuel worship.

Hadl Goad Feather Party
The Feather Party and Bingo
sponsored by the Lions Club last
Thursday night in the town hall
proved' to be a decided success. The
hall, being packed to the •doors and
wherever there was space. Turkeys
ducks, and geese were given as priz-
es and made many of the winners
smile when they were fortunate in
winning one of these" birds. Master
Robert Merner, aged 8 who accomp-
anied his daddy te the party and en-
joyed taking part, was escorted to
the platform to pick the lucky ticket
for the -door -prize • and happened to
pick his' Daddy's ticket for the larg-
est turkey in three counties. It sure
was a dandy. Mr. Merrier held the
lucky •number last year and shared
it with his many friends in the nei-
gh bo urhood.
