Farm Forums are • rapidly re -or-
ganizing in the County and several
new Forams have started meeting on
Monday nights. Already 28 • Farm
Forums have met on a single Monday
night bo discuss problems pertinent
to rural people. Several Forums are
slow in sending in their reports to
the Ontario Secretary. These should
be mailed the day after the meeting,
On the subject "I See by the Pa -
perm, farm people. felt, generally,
that the London Free -Press and the
Stratford Beacon -Herald were doing
a splendid job in the County as Dail-
ies, in providing local, and world
news and markets; that our prtvate-
1y owned farm papers were of inter-
est to the whole family and were

however, came in for a bit of crit

Make the dough like this:
Ys cup shortening '/s teaspoon cream of tartar
k's teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups brawn sugar 31/4 cups sifted Purity Flour
2 eggs
Cream the shortening, add vanilla and brown sugar.
Add well beaten eggs. Mix cream of tartar, baking
soda and sifted PURITY FLOUR, and add to mixture.
Divide the dough into three ports for three different
f cookies.
Cookie 1.
Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts,
then form into a roll.
Cookie 2.
Add 1 ounce unsweetened
chocolate, melted, then form
into a roll. Just before bok.
ing sprinkle each cookie with
a few shreds of cocoanut,
Cookie 3.
Add 1/i cup mixed red and
green cherries that have
been cut into eighths, then
form into o roll.
Each roll should be wrapped
in waxed paper and chilled
in refrigerator, then, or
whenever you wish, cut off
thin slices from rolls and bake
,on,greased sheet in hot oven
(375°•400°F.1 for 8-10 mins.
