Hay Council met on Monday for
their regular monthly meeting.
Mr. Austin Hey of Detroit spent a
low drys with his mother here last
week.
Rev. Mr. Getz and Mervyn. Tiernan
of Dashwood were in town on Tues-

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Coxon of
Milverton visited at the home of
their son, Dr. and Mrs. W, B. Coxon
for a few days this week.
Mr. Caroline Price who has been
staying at the Kocherns home for

ed the funeral of the late Father

The auction sale of Mr. John
Kocherns' effects and property in
Zurich on Saturday was very largely
attended and good prices were realiz-
ed in most cases. The property was
purchased by by Melvin Brown who
has been a tennant in part of the
house for some years, and who al-
ready has possession.
Have Moved
Mr. Gordon G. Sewell who has
taken charge as manager of the Bank
of .Montreal branch at Fort Erie,
was in town last Wednesday and on
Thursday the big moving van took
all their effects away to that place.
The 1Sewell family whom we have all
learned to know and love, .are now
gone to their new home in Fort
Erie, and we wish them the very
best of everything. On the same day
the effects of our new Bank Manager
Mr. C. C. McEachern and family ar-
rived in town from Piston, and they
have taken the home vacated by the
Sewell's, and we welcome them to
our village, and hope they will enjoy
their stay ',With us.

OBITUARY
Late George Hudson
George Hudson, life-long resident
of Hensall, died on Monday in Vic-
toria Hospital, London, following an
operation. Born in Stanley Town-
ship, he was a member of Hensel]
United 'Church. Surviving are his
wife, the former Annie Troyer; two
sons, Cecil, Chicago; Casey, Goder-
ich; two daughters, Hazel, Toronto;
Ina, Chicago; five sisters, Mrs, L.
Logan, Mrs. A. Harvey, and M,rs. W
Carlile, all of Hensall; Mrs. Eliza-
beth Douglas, Brucefield; Mrs. Ag-
nes Consitt, Seaforth; one brother,
Isaac Hudson, Seaforth.
Miss Margaret Reid Passes
Miss Margaret Reid died: at Bay-
field on Saturday, after a long ill-
ness. Born in Stanley Township, she
was a daughter of the late Joseph
Reid and the former Eliza Ann ,Clark
Surviving are two sisters, Miss Eliza-
beth Reid, Bayfield and Mrs. James
Webster, Egmondville. Miss Reid liv-
ed in Stanley until 19.10, when she
came to Bayfield and for some years
operated a general store, She was a
life-long member of Knox Presby-
terianChurch and a life member' of

Elizabeth Wagner, she was born in'
Wellesley, and before her marriage
lived in Zurich, and was married in
January, 1890. Her husband died a
year and a half ago. Surviviwg are
one son, Milton, London; five daugh-
ters, Mrs. M. 'G, Drysdale, Hensall
Mrs. J. l3renkolt, Kitchener; Mrs.
Robt. Lohr, Altoona, Pa; Mrs. Jas,
A. Paterson, Hensall; and Alonzo
Ortwcin, Detroit, She was a member
of Hensall United Church, W. M. S.,
W. Association, Private funeral ser-
vice was held from the late residence
Monday October 6th at 2.30 p.m.
Rev. R. A. Brook officiated. Inter- ,
rent was made in Hensall Union
Cemetery. The bearers were: Geo.
Glenn, W. B. Cross, E. McQueen, W.
E. Foster, W. R. Davidson, and G.
Hess. The floral tributes were many
and beautiful.
MRS ROYAL GAISER
Crediton community mourns the
death of a highly esteemed resident
in the person of Mrs. Royal Geiser
who passed away suddenly Saturday
last in her 40th year. She had been
up and around the day previous in
.her usual health. Her maiden name
was Kathleen Morlock, daughter off
Mr. and Mrs. John Morlock, o:f Cred-
iton. Besides her bereaved husband
and parents she is survived by four
children. The funeral was herd from
the late residence Stephen last Mon-
day afternoon and was largely at-
tended, Rev. M. E. Reuber of Cred-
iton Evangelical church officiated.
Rev. and Mrs. Fred Feist., of Milver-
ton assisted with the service by sing-
ing. Mr. Feist also assisting with
the services.
