SERVICE NOTICE TO CREDITORS In the Estate of CHARLES REMAN, deceased. Rant and Cooler Heavly rains visited these parts over the week -end, on Sunday a real downpour visited many sections in Ontario, while here in Zurich it was not as abundant as in many other parts. But most of 'Monday it either hailed, snowed or rained, and the ground became saturated. Fortunately for the bean fields it was very cool for this time of year, as the fresh beans did not start grow- ing or sprouting. However, today, Wednesday the sun is shining bright and clear and we hope the weather will fair up again, as the farmers need plenty of good weather to get in their late crops. About 'one third of the beans are taken in, and many fields are still very green. A light frost was noticed in the swamp on Wednesday morning. Dated this 18th day of September, 1947. Norman Vincent, Dashwood, Ont. Bullock, Zurich, Ont. Executors. 6,000 AT EXETER FAIR One of the hottest days of the summer greeted a crowd estimated at over 6,000 on the second and -final. day of Exeter fall fair last Thurs- day. Sometimes the very fact we lack ready cash seems to prevent us from fulfilling plans that would bring in more money - a sort of vicious cir- cle. And, so, many a farmer postpon- es plans for making his farm more productive, and more comfortable. Nearly every farmer realizes the. benefits that can come from money spent in livestock for improving the herd, better drainage systems, mod- ern electricity aids, and new agricul- tural equipment and machinery. Wise farmers also know that a shortage of ready money need not prevent them from sharing in these advant- ages: A visit to Mr MacEachern, local man- ager of the Bank of Montreal, will show fyou why. A low-cost farm im- provement loan from the B of M has helped marry farmers to purchase the modern farm equipment design- ed to increase production and profits, In many eases the increase in profits Mr McEachern will be glad to discuss has been used to repay the loan.
