Miss Marjorie Sewell has taken a position at the Bank of Montreal. Mrs. Flossie 'Brown is visiting with friends at St. Marys. Mrs. Elmore Klopp spent a few days at the home of her daughter, Rev. and 'Mrs. Lloyd Kalbfleisch, at Elmira. Mr, and Mrs. Clyde Chapman; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Heyman. of Detroit, were week -end visitors at the home 'of Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Stade. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Trembly, (bridal couple) of Detroit, were were week -end visitors 'with relati- ves in town. Mr. Wm. Rader, Mr. and Mrs. Milne Rader; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Dinnin and son Billy are spending the summer season in their cottages at Grand Bend. Miss Jean Krueger, nurse -in -train- ing at Victoria Hospital, London, is enjoying her summer vacation at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb. Krueger for a few weeks. Dr. and Mrs. P. J. O'Dwyer spent the earlier part of the week at Tor- onto where the Doctor attended the Health Officers Convention' held in that city. They were guests at the Royal York Hotel. Plenty of Rain A lot of rain has again fallen ov- er the week -end. Just las the land was drying up a bit, the heavy rains again visited this part, and the land became soaked again. But sir) far this week it has not rained, but it is always threatening. Farmers are making good use of sowing beans, cord and other late crops, and they are badly in need of good weather for these crops.
