The Annual :Convention of the
Sunday School Association of the
Stratford Conference of the Evang-
elical Lutheran .Synod of Canada
was held at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, Zurich, on •Sunday, June 1st.
A total of 160 Pastors, delegates and
visitors registered. Seventeen chur-
ches were represented. •
Rev. Wm. Schultz of Brodhagen
had charge of the opening Devotions.
The President, Rev. K. ICnauff of
Stratford, conducted the business
session during which an offering for
Europe Relief of nearly $400.00 was
received. ,Mr. G. H. Doibrindt, In-
spector ,of Public Schools for North
Waterloo, was the speaker.at the af-
ternoon session. His subject was

OBITUARY
Died at Crediton
Very suddenly in Crediton, on
Monday, June 2nd, Adeline Holtz-
xnan, beloved wife of Horace Pfaff
and dear mother of Marilyn and Har-
vey at home and Arthur of St. Marys
in her 49th year. Was resting at T.
Harry Hoffman funeral home, Dash-
wood until Wednesday morning then
at her late residence, from where a
private service will be held on Thurs-
day, June 5-tiki at 2 p.m., followed by
a memorial service in Crediton Ev-
angelical church at 2.30. Interment
in' Crediton Cemetery.
Irvin Daniel Smith
After a week's illness, following a
heart seizure, Irvine Daniel Smith
passed away at the Hamilton General
Hospital on May (19th, in his 55th
year. Deceased was the youngest son
of Daniel ,Smith and the late Cather-
ine Smith, and wu horn in Wilmot
