The warmer weather the past week
really has got rid of the 'snow banks
i and ice around town, and a few real
I nice days were in evidence. This
1 morning. Wednesday, there was a
blanket of snow, but it will soon be
, licked up. The maple syrup making
has been pretty fair the past week,
and ninny •a sweet mouth has devel-
oped therewith.
At The Hospital
Mrs. Edward Beaver is in St. Jos-
• eph's Hospital, London, where she is
taking treatments. Her many friends
wish her a speedy recovery.
Against Contagious Diseases
The Board of 'Health 'of the Town-
ship of Hay are beginning an im-
munization program against contage-
ous diseases, for school and preschool
children, at the Town Hall, Zurich,
on Saturday morning, April 19th.

Mr. and Mrs. Wellington Johnston
and grandson Curtis, '.motored to
Rochester, N.Y., where 'they visited
at the home of their daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Ernest Gemming for a few
days, the latter along with their da-
ughterSandra accompanied Mr. and
Mrs. Johnston back to Zurich, where
she is visiting for a few weeks.
In Auto Accident
Mr. Morris Weber who spent most
of ,the winter months •in 'Clinton, and
who was during the recent storm,
in company with Charles Thompson,
of Clinton, on .a business trip to Zur-
ich, and on returning: home near
Brucefield collided with another car,
and as a result Mr.. W e'ber was tui -
conscious for a time and' sustained
bad head injuries which discoloured
his face, also injuring his leg. Mr.
Thompson was slightly. injured and
shook up. Both cars were 'aadly
damaged.

ORDERED TO SEEK MISSING
HEIR
An extensive search has been ord-
ered by Justice G. A. Urquhart, sit-
ting in court at London, for Wilfred
Zirk, a native of Zurich, who left
the family home in 1918 and has not
been seen since. -He is being sought
with a sister, Dorothy, and a brother
Roger, as beneficiaries under the will
of their mother, Catharine, who died
in January, 1945, leaving an estate
of more than $8,000. Their Shares,
each amounting to $11,018, were or-
dered paid into court, pending the
search. Dorothy Zirk has not been
'heard from since 1942. Roger •Zirk
disappeared in 1941. All three were
advertised for in 1945 without re-
sult.
