Thought We Had Spring
Up till Monday night our snow
banks were gradually disappearing,
and what a relief it was to be able
to feel free again, after being hem-
med in with blocked driveways, lanes
and roads. Some faces that we hav-
en't seen for weeks, were making
their appearance with a happy smile,

Farm Forum
The Unique Farm Forum met in
the home of Mr. and Mrs. ` A. E.
Oestreicher, with Henry Schilbe aas
discussion leader. Foreign labour
tends towards cheap labor and small
holdings therefore puttingCanadian
labour down in price and tending to
lower our standards of living; but as
the most foreigners have a trade,
when they arrive, they will tend to
raise our thrift as Canadians. The
agreement between father and son
should be written' and safeguarded
each of their interests and to make
any agreement of value, there must
be co-operation and material under-
standing. Not all were agreed on
the son receiving more than the dau-
ghters in a will, but the majority
favoured share and sham alike de-
pending on circumstances and home
labour. Recreation took form of the
editor in chief, Keith Horner and as-
sistant editor, Belva Truemner in
reading the Unique Gazette which
was made up of jokes, sales comm-
ents, news, views and ideas of the
Forum. The next meeting is to be
held at the home of Mr, and Mrs.
Delbert Geiger. with Roland Geiger
as discussion leader.

READY MONEY FOR HOME RE-
PAIRS AVAILABLE AT THE
B of M
Low -Cost 'Loans, Repayable in Instal-
ments, Can (Help Keep Your Home in
Order
Remember the old expression, "A
stitch in time saves nine"? This is
particularly true when it comes to
making repairs around your home.
Often a small job done at once is
inexpensive; if delayed, it frequently
requires more time, money and mat-
erial to make the necessary repairs.
A shortage of ready cash need not
delay you in making small repairs.
You can obtain money at 27 cents a
month for. each $100 borrowed thr-
ough the Bank of Montreal's low-cost
personal loan plan. Such loans are
repayable in twelve monthly instal-
ments. There are no deductions, no
extras, no handling charges. Further-
more, when you get such a loan at
the B of M, you may be sure that
you are not asking a favour.
When repairs are necessary in
your home or when cash is required
for any good reason, drop m and see
the Bank of Montreal neighbourhood
manager, Mr. Sewell. He will be
glad to review your plans with you.
