GLAMOUR TAKES TO THE TURF
Sleek, thoroughbred horses always
have had an attraction for fair lad-
ies. "Beauty and the. Beast" is not
a fairy tale insofar as it applies to
the love of beautiful women for be-
utiful horses. Dan Parker writes a-

BORN
On Sunday, September 29th. to
Mr. and Mrs. Milton McAdams a son,
Johnston to our community.
Walter, we have known you for
the greater part of your lifetime,
and every one of us are proud of
that acquaintanship. Your recent con-
tribution to your King and Country,
when you saw fit to don military
garb and march off to foreign lands,
and your courage to see it through
to a successful and much deserved
peace, can not be soon forgotten.
The fact that Walter has chosen
you for his partner; Mrs. Jolrnston,
is the highest possible recommendat-
ion for anyone to bring to our corn-
rntmi ty.
That you might appreciate our
sincerity we ask you to atcept these
gifts. May you find oecasion to use
them in your new home, in which we
trust health and happiness will abide.
--Signed on 'behalf of your friends
and neighbours.
