Had Second Frolic
The second annual Lions Frolic
was a decided success even though
the weatherman was -quite undecided
throughout the day, as real autumn
like weather was in evidence, - but
the clouds vanished and the .big event
went on; but with an --atmospheres
that 'was quite cool.
The affair was officially opened by
Torry Gregg, "sports announcer of
GXNX" Wingham, and Dr. R. Hobbs
Taylor, "MLA for Huron South."
Atter which the Lions, "like a bunch
of well trained 'circus Lions" sprang
to their responsible duties and the
show was on.
At time. of writing, approximately
$2.500.00 was realized in gross re-
ceipts, but the net results wrri not be
known until the'bills are all handed
in.
The London 'Police Boys Bancl, 75

as well as hear and were continually
applauded for their numbers render-

was aibout the last event of the ev-
ening, was greatly appreciated by
the near 3000 people present. All
in all, it was a very successful night
of fun and entertainment.
The Lions are greatly appreciative
of the help given by non Lions and
Lions of other towns, 'besides the
Lionesses who really had a very busy
evening in the booth.

The cool weather has been felt
by the falling oil' of campers along
the lake, as they scampered off to
their home.:, rather than be chilly at
the lakeside.

Day when ail places of business will
be clo:-ed. '1'he local summer resorts
are looking for large crowds on that
day, and will likely have thein, as it
