THE FARMER'S UNSEEN FRIEND
Canada's luscious fruits and vegetab-
les, meats, dairy products and cer-
eals, ----all of the food products of the
nation's farms, are sought eagerly
in every corner of the world. They
are "ready_money" to the farmers of
Canada.
But how to get your full share of
that ready money is the question.
Riding with the farmers of Canada
in tractors and trucks is unseen,
friendly Bank of Montreal, ready to
help them to participate in the ready
money that is offered for maximum
production.
Mechanized equipment in the field—
electification of barns ancs homes,
can increase tremendously the farm-
er's output and revenue. The Bank
of Montreal and its "ready money
for the go-ahead farmer" are invad-
ing the last strongholds of hand
labour on the farm.
Mr. Sewell, your own Bank of Mon-
treal manager, knows how to make
an applicant for a loan feel comfort-
able and at home. His attitude is:
"When you ask for a loan at the B.
of M., you do not ask a favour."
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Datars and da-
ughter Anita; Mr. and Mrs. •Herb.
Krueger and Miss Pauline Halberer
motored to Detroit and enjoyed the
holiday week -end. Misses Anita and
Pauline remained for a vacation in
that city iwith relatives.
With the very favourable weather,
the harvest is progressing very nicely
and many fanners will have their
spring crops in and threshed 'bye the
end of the week. Rain is badly need-
ed for the pastures and later crops,
and we hope it will soon come, as the
gardens and lawns are getting pretty
well scorched from the draugth.
THE GENTLE AVENGER—

troit Sunday Times, how he smashed
the savage frame-up of a rich indus-
