be cleetrically prepared for it. 1.!
He knows his farm must be adequat-
ely tired to derive full benefit from
all the modern electrical power ap-
pliances. He knows also that he ,1,1
should own these devices so that his !,1
production is efficiently cared for.
He will concern himself, too, with Vi
his family's welfare, by providing 4
them with the benefit,: of electricity 0
in the home. °!!;
The necessary financing for all of N
these highly desirable improvements PI
is readily available through a low- ;111
cost instalment loan at the Dank of 1111
Montreal.
The go-ahead farmer is quick to un- Id
derstand also that asking for a loan :1
at the Bank of Montreal is not ask- RI
ing a favor. Mr. Sewell, the man- lig
ager, knows well the potentialities of ,N
the future and is anxious and willing Ei
to help any go-ahead farmer to get a el
grip on this future.

138 VETERANS HONORED
Crediton — By word and present-
ation of checks the people or Ste-
phen Township paid tribute to 138
men and women of the armed forces
from that district on Saturday af-
ternoon at a public meeting in the
Community Park here. Dr. Hobbs
Taylor, MLA., for South !enrol,, un-
veiled the honor roll, which contained
151 names, including those of the
13 boys who died in service. Herbert
K. Either, of Crediton, who was clerk
of Stephen Twp. for nearly ti0 years.
presented the scrolls in remember-
ance of those who died to their next
of kin. Keynote of the afternoon
was struck by Dr, Taylor when he
said, 'We have gathered here with
mixed feeling's. We are glad to greet
those who have returned but our
gladness is Mixed with sorrow when
we think of those who made the sup-
reme sacrifice." • He emphasized that
"We must be viligont to maintain
tain personal liberties and guard that
those in authority in our countre- are
not the army, or the air force. for
this is not an army or air force coun-
try. but a ,country of peace. Pray
God." he concluded, "to lead the
world leaders so that future honor
