Green United churches met for their annual picnic. All sat down to well laden tables for supper at 6.30 pan. After which all enjoyed an hour of well chosen sports arranged •by Mrs. John Sinclair and Mrs. Edison Mac- Lean. The affair was under the auspices of the committee in charge of the Bayfield and Community Active Service Fund and the music by the Bayfield Valley Five Orchestra. The proceeds are to go towards the purchaseot. a mem- orial plaque to those from the com- munity who gave their lives in the sewed world war, It will be prayed on the cairn in Clan Gregor Square. The committee also hopes to raise enough stoney to ,place a suitable fence around the cairn.
