A number of local fishermen in-
vaded the fishing grounds over the
holiday, as they were seen driving
with the boat mounted on top of the
auto, or was it they expected a flood
and took the boat along to make sure
of getting 'back .safely?
July 1st passed off very quietly in
town, as bhere was the odd visitor
one would notice. An interesting
Bible Conference was held in the
local Mennonite church and many
from a distance were present. Grand
Bend still carries its traditional lst
of July with throngs of people vis-
iting that popular resort. In fact•• the
crowds never were bigger than this
year.
