Miss Kathleen Kalbfleisch of El-
mira spent some time with relatives
in the village.
Mr. and Mrs, R. C, Whitney, and
Mr, and Mrs. Jack Hughes of De-
troit visited with Mrs. Emily Fuss
over the week -end.
Rev, C, B. Heckendorn and Sun-
day School Teachers of the Evangel-
ical 5, 5, attended the Youth Con-
vention at Stratford on Monday.
Messrs. Bill Siebert, Dr. W. B.
Coxon, Dr. A. Marshall, Jacob Hab-
erer, Ivan and Earl Yungblut motor-
ed to Detroit on Sunday.
Mr. Lewis Thiel of Tupperville vis-
ited with relatives one day the beg-
inning of this week.
Mrs. W. F. Finkbeiner and dau-
ghter, Miss Hazel of Stratford were
Sunday visitors at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Leroy O'Brien, and Mrs.
W. H. Hoffman.
We are in receipt of 'a few lines
of interest from a former Zurich old
boy, Mr. Ed. Wurm of Markham, in
which he says: "Dear Chester, give
my regards to all the boys. 1 am
just fine and O.K..—Ed.
Mr. and Mrs. Chris. Swartzentruber
and childred, Ed. and Edith; Mr. and
Mrs: Moses Erb of the Bronson line
attended the wedding of a relative
at Lowville, N. Y., over the week-
end. They also called on Police
Officer and Mrs. Lee OescI. at St.
Catharines.
Mr. and Mrs. Hy. Yungbliit and
daughter Inez, Mrs. Len. Prang mot-
ored to London on Sunday. The lat-
ter visiting her brother, who is a
patient in St. Joseph's Hospital. They
were accompanied home by Mr. Jacob
Deichert who had also been a patient
at that hospital. His many friends are
pleased to hear that he is improvng
nicely.
Wins Prize
Mr. Gordon G. Sewell, manager of
the Zurich Branch of the Bank of
Montreal held a lucky ticket at the
Lions Frolic in Petrolea last week,
by receiving a Marconi Record play-
er. His many friends wish to con-
gratulate him for being successful.
Several of the members of the Zur-
ich Lions Club also enjoyed trie.frolic
in that town.
MEMORIAL SERVICE
The annual Memorial Servrce of
St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Zurich,
will be held on Sunday afternoon,
June 23rd at 3 o'clock, at the Cem-
etery. Rev. E. Treusch of Milverton
will be the guest speaker. A suitable
program is being arranged for, to
which the public are cordially invited
to attend.
