0 Adequate capacity to carry any probable load is
of Rrst importance whether you are building ca bridge'
or wiring your farm. it might appear that enough
wiring to give you lights and a minimum of motor
equipment would do for a start. Beware of fulling
into that mistake. Et will only cause you needless
expense and inconvenience later on.
Electricity should be a worker as well as a con-
venience on the farm. You will cm:idealiy discover
many ways in which you can save time and money
by using more electricity. When and if you decide
to have an electric stove in the kitchen, e water heater
in your home or dairy, or an extra motor some place
or another, have the necessary wiring all done and
ready right from the start. The most economical time
to wire adequately is the first time you wire.
Ask any reliable electrical contractor or your Hydro
rural superintendent for advice on adequote wiring.
You will ;always be glad that •you did it right the
first time.

Early Spring
Well, what do you know! The first
week in April and the grain seeding
all in and the grain shooting out,
and many farmers are working their
bean land. Early indeed; it is be-
yond the memory of the present gen-
eration to •recall so eaaxly a spring.
But for the older, they remember the
spring of 19$2 just 44 years ago, the
seeding that year was all in before
the first of April, and the farmers
that year reaped an abundant crop.
So perhaps it would not 'be too much
to ask the same this year. Tho for
that we must trust our Divine Pro-
vidence.
Many Improvements
Much repairing is being done this
spring in building, but material is
much Harder to get than in former
years, and that is causing much de-
lay. Carpenters and labourers .are
again in iull force on the cottages
on the new summer resort. We be-
lieve the owners will .want to occu-
py their cottages when the sultry
days come again.

Cancer of the Hp may be mistaken tor a cold

cancer of the throat may be hoarseness. Cancer
of the stomach, in its early` stages may be
mistaken for indigestion.
To cut down the death rate from cancer in
Ontario (5193 Ontario people died from this
disease in 1943) funds are now being raised
and a drive is being organized in this province
to conquer cancer, Here are the objectives of
this campaign;
1—To organize and operate fully equipped cancer
clinics at suitably centres where people may be
examined, and, if necessary, treated according to
the newest scientific methods.
2• -To pay a portion 4 the cost of treatment of
cancer for those needing financial bol p.
3—To pay travelling expenses to and from clinks
if needed.
4—To conduct an energetic program! of cancer
research in Ontario.
As a citizen of Ontario you are asked to con-
tribute to this very worthy cause. Your
donation may help put such measures into
effect as will save the lives of some of your
loved ones --uveal your ower life. It may help
tofree the world forever from the dread
scourge of cancer.
This appeal is for an objective of $2,000,000
to provide for a three-year program of cancer
research, treatment and province -wide service,
