However, on Dec. 24th, exactly eight days later, the sow gave birth to an additional 16 young ones, of which only one was dead and at the time of writing 14 atilt are alive eor nature this time provided them with the means for existence. This brood sow has previ- ously had four normal litters—New Ham -burg Independent. WOMAN FROZEN—INTOXICATED Kincardine—Mrs, Lillian McDoug- all, found dead near her home on Dec. 16, was frozen to death, a cor- oner's jury ruled. The decision was given after hearing evidence that she was not only intoxicated, but prob- ably in an alcholic stupor when she collapsed in a field near her home.
