CAR ACCIDENT
:Mrs. Caroline Box, Seaforth, suff-
ered injuries to one eye, right shoul-
der and hand when. the car she was
driving south on No. 4 highway, a
mile south of Mooresville, plunged
into a ditch, rolled over and struck
a tree. Police said she was turning
out to pass another car, and her foot
is reported to have slipped from the
brake onto the accelerator, causing
the car to turn completely around on
the road and head into the east ditch,
which was filled with about two feet
of water. After the car rolled and
struck the tree, it rolled back into
the ditch, but Mrs. Box was able to
get from the car. She was treated by
a doctor in Exeter and later taken to
her home.

Farm Forum
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Schrag gave
the members of the Babylon Line
Farni Forum a warm welCome When
they met at theie home for tne regu-
lar meeting. The group decided that
although Farm Organization in •Can--
ada is beginning to show its effect,
it should and could be, more effective
if a greater percentage of farmers
realized the value of drganization
and took a greater interest 'in C.P.A.
and Farm Forum. The 'problem of
Canadian Japanese was also -discuss-
ed. Following a lively 'social hour,
Mr. and Mrs. Eels invited the Farm
Forum to -their home far the .next
meeting. - •

•Geiger. Mr, Leonard Merrier' . deliver-
ed a fiery speech on the topic of the
Canadian Federation of Agriculture.
Among many other things he said:
"In the near future we farmers are
going to hit a snag if we -don't or-
ganize. Everyone must really get be-
hind this Canadian Federation of
Agriculture and boost it.- There
no .room for knockers." If we don's
support our own organization, then
we deserve the name that Miss Mc-
Phail gave us when she was in &lie
ich-Shysters. He also suggested
that those who are habitually late
for Forum meetings should start their
chores a half hour earlier on Mon-
day nights. The discussion groups
agreed with Leonard that the CFA.
would be a very effective organizat-
ion if it were supported by the maj-
ority of the farmers. At present only
a little over 30% of the Canadian
farmers are Federation members. Af-
ter the discussion several lively gam-
es were conducted by Mrs. E. G.
Krueger. A delicious lunch was then
served by the lathes. The Krueger
home will entertain the Forum next
week. Mr. Bruce Klopp will be the
convenor. Although better late than
never, please try to be on time for
the radio broadcast,
