Farmers are very busy thete-•days
with the heavy crop of wheat, of
which some is very badly down and
tangled up. Threshing operations
have also commenced, and the baa'
ley crop is also about ready to he
cut. Ideal weather has prevailed for
harvesting, but a nice shower of rain
would be welcome in most cases for
the growth of later crops and grass.

This seems rather an unusual sum-
mer as there is no fruit on the trees
which usually at this time are well
laden with their annual harvest. The
local beekeepers advise. us that there
will also be rro honey this year, and
what a disappoint to those who are
inclined to have a sweet tooth. How-
ever, there will lots of good vegeta-
ion, wheat, and plenty of meat, re-
gardless if some of it will be ration-
ed. Surely, we are in a tend of
plenty, if we could only realise it at
all times.

of worries, stop wrangling and shoul-
dering other people's problems. Get
