The
after-dinner round table conference
was very ,educational and instructive.
Mr. George Ellis, of Goderech,• presi-
dent of the organization acted as
chairman. One of the items under
discussion was the need for protect-
ion of town and village merchants
from a'..-2it:ng salesmen who operate
rackets of various kinds to the det-
riment of the merchants were cited
at the meeting. Certificates of appro-
val from the local Chamber of Com-
merce before such salesmen are al--•
lowed to .circulate in a community
were advocated.A11 the seven weekly
newspapers represented at the gath-
ering revealed continually increase
in circulation over the past few years
The annual spring meeting is to be
held in Clinton next March.
