Sunday visitors at Kitchener.
A pesky epidemic of summer flu
is making its rounds.
Mrs, !Minke has returned after sp-
ending several weeks with relatives at

Mr and Mrs Ed Brand of London,
were Sundaly, visitors at the home of

were at London on Friday on bus-

Messrs. Stanley Smith and Ward
Fritz spent the week -end at the lit-
ter's island at 'Georgian Bay Inlet.

visited with Mr and Mrs Ward Fritz
the latter part of last week. •
Mr. and Mrs' J. J. Swartz of De-
troit, and Mrs Emily Fuss of town
town motored to Wiarton and Tobe-
rmory last week.
Mr and Mrs Amos 13rubecker and
family of Glenn Allen, were Sunday
visitors at the !home of their friends,
Mr and 'Mrs Alvin Gingerich.
Miss Pearl Wurtz .returned home
after spending several days at the
home of her sister, Dr. and Mrs. H.H.
Cowen, Exeter.
Mrs. Dennis Bedard Sr., has re-
turned honne from St. Joseph's Hosp-
ital, London after an operation and
is progressing along real well. We
wish her continued health.
Mr and Mrs Moses Erb have re-
turned home after enjoying a motor
trip to the home of their daughter,
at Niagara Falls where they seem
several days over the week -end.
Mrs. John Daly and daughter Mary
of Detroit spent a week at the home
of the former's 'mother, Mrs. Dennis
Bedard, Sr, who has returned home
to the city with them,
firs. Vanatta of Port Huron and
]Mrs. Levi ;Stelck of Dauphin, Man.,
were week -end visitors at the home
of their sister, Mr and Mrs Wm.
O'Brien.
The auction sale of the L. Schilbe
Estates on Saturday :afternoon bro-
ught out a lot of people, and good
prices were realized. Owing to the
unsettled weather the sale was held
fin the Lutheran Church Shed. A
large .crowd was present and Auct-
oneer Alvin did a fine job of weTdling
the hammer, as the saying goes.
