were week -end visitors at the home
of Mr and Mrs Jacob Gingerich.
Mr and iMrs John Desch of Pigeon,
Mich., were visitors in town a fele'
days last; week. They were on a
motor trip up in the State or Wis-
consin.
Earl Heywood and his Barri Dance
Gang of. Winghem, !called in town on
Thursday eve. enjoying their dinner
at the Dominion House. They were
on. their way to play in a southern
town.
Mr. and Mrs Leonard Parent and
two children of Windsor were visitors
in tilos vicinity the past week. Mrs.
Parent is a daughter of Mr and Mrs
Paul Masse now of Windsor and for-
mer residents of the Bronson line,
Hay Twp.
Mr and Mrs Menno Martin and
daughter Verna of St. Jacobs, Mrs.
Ezra Martin and Miss Betty Martin
of Hawkesville; Mr and Mrs. Noah
Gingerich and son Lewis of the Bron-
son Iine north, were Sunday visitors
at the home of Mr and Mrs Alvin
Gingerich.
Fractures Arm
We are sorry to report that Mrs.
Matilda iMacKinnon, while go'ng up
the Steps of her sister's home, Mr.
and ,Mrs. Alroert Kalbfleisch, n some
way :h'e fell fracturing her arm, and
will be greatly han.di'eaped for some
time.
Going Fast
The few remaining weeks of the
summer are slipping away fast and
another week -end and we will be in
September. Harvesting is about all
done now. The weather is plenty
hat, humid and dry, a nice ,shower of
rain; would 'be welcome to freshen up
things.

Former Resident Passes
Late Mrs. Kaiser
There passed away .at Vitoria
hospital, London, on Thursday, Aug-
ust 120th, 195.3, Emelia Elizabeth
(Axt), of 1192 Tecumseh Ave., be-
loved wife of Wellington W. Kaiser,
712',, a resident of London for fifty
years. She was born in Blaxe, Ont.
in, the Zur ichh district and was a mem-
ber of the Brisco Street Baptist
Church. Surviving besides her husb-
and are one daughter, Mrs. Ralph
(Muriel) Allen, London; three sons,
WWilliamE., and Harold W. Kaiser.
of London and Kenneth G. Kaiser,
of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Joseph ,
(Theresa) Blanchard, Detroit; one HAY
brother, EEdward Herbert Axt, of De-
troit, and eight grandchildren. The
