On Tuesday morning of this week
the remains of the late Mary Du -
theme, and widow of the late Jos -1
eph Ducharme of Drysdale were laid
to rest in St. Peter's Church Cemet-
ery. The funeral was largely attend-
ed by her children, relatives and fri-
ends from different points. She was
formally Mary Geoffroi, a grand-
daughtea of early pioneers, wno sett-
led in the northern part of tins par-
tsh, over a 'century ago, and Where
she was born nearly 85 years ago.
Vie deceased was an amiable char-
acter, alwaye cheerful and always
giving words of consolation to those
in despair and ready to share the
grief of all. In midsummer of the
year 1e86 when vet in her teen age
ehe was married to Joseph Ducharme
of Drysdale, a young McHanic of.that
burg. They were married by the Rev.
Father Kelly who was their parish
priest and seventeen years ago the
couple celebrated their golden anni-
versary and again in 1946 they cele-
keted tileie Diamond wedding anmv-
ersary, with all their children attend-
ing. Mr and Mrs. Ducharme have the
dietiaction of having a long married
life of 64 years. Mr, Ducharme was
a blacki4inith by trade and lived and
worked at his trade his entire life,
on the ,homeatead where he was born
and died three years ago. From this
union 15 children were born, one d.
ng in infancy and three others died
a few years ago. Eleven are living
today to mourn their loss. Requiem
Mass was celebrated by Monsignor
• Bourdeau, assisted by Father Duch-
arme Of Pain Court and Father Fal-
lon of Forest. Pall Bearers were six
of her grandson,

MRS. DUCHARME PASSES
Mrs. Delphine Ducharme, 89, wid-
ow of the late Peter Ducharme of the
Bronson line, Hay Twp., and mother
of Mr. Dennis Duchanme on the farm
home, died at the home of her aaugh-
ter at Ruscombe, where she had lived
for the past 15 years. The funeral
will be held Friday at St. Peter's
Church, St. Joseph.
