ion in the Northern country; inculd-

Albert Bedard of Zurich spent a
week's vacation at 1\lidland and oth-
er places of interest.

Mr. and Mrs. Itarold Koehler have
returned to their home rn Toronto,
after holidaying with relatives in
the Zurich district. Mrs. Nancy Koeh-
ler, the former's mother, returned to
the city, with them, after spending
some time with her children in the
vicinity.

Rev. and Mrs H. E. Roppel of
town will be holidaying with relati-
ves in Brantford and other points
over the week -ends of August 23rd
and 30th. In their absence Rev. W.
F. Krotz, Dashwood, will supply the
pulpit here both Sunday mornings
at 11.15 a.m., instead of the usual
10:00 o'clock hour.

Fractures Arm
A very •painful accident happened
to Mr. Leonard Erb of the Parr Line,
on Monday eveningwhile threshing
at the farm of Mr. Garnet Jacobe,
across the road from Mr. Erb, when
he was applying dressing on the belt
of the threshing machine, in some
waly, his left arm got caught, causing
a compound fracture. Medical aid
was given as soon as possible and the
liati..ent rushed to Victoria Ifospital,
London. The fracture being taken
care of. Leonard has the best wish-
es of a speedy recovery by his many
friends.
