Change in Ownership
A change of ownership of the new-
ly organized business of the T. & T.
Flooring Co. of Zurich has become
effective by Mr. Herb Turkhelen pur-
chasing the interest of Mr. Leroy
Thiel, and now becomes sole owner
of the business. Since 4xpening- up
in December these boys have done a
lot of very fine work, and which ser-
vice will be continued by Mr. Turk -
helm.
• Many Fatalities
The holiday week -end has again
'treacle its toll of accidents and mis-
haps with drownings, auto accidents,
and numerous other ways. Thes time
!the Province of Quebec heads the
• list, while 58 fatal accidents. are re-
elorded throughout Canada. We are
living in a terribly speeded up age,
and hope things won't go much fas-
ter or there will be even greater tolls
Of life consumed in this so called
mad rush. Often just a second's
time of precaution will save a tife
and much valuable property. Next
time you venture out by foot or in
a lea.; just resolve that you will take
a Sew seconds more time and look
and make safe of your way and you
and you and you, will come through
More safely as well as other people.
Please try it!

The Voice of Temperance
One can take for granted that
alcholic beverages have in them the
likelihood of creating a nuisance in
any en,viroment and under any law.
There is no evidence that the nuis-
ance is greater under the Canada
Temperance At than under the
Liquor Control Act. There is boot --
legging under the one art and there
is bootlegging under the otter act.
aVliinors are getting liquor under both
1
acts. It does not make sense at all
to •cry down our Hemel County and
,its Temperance Act and clamour for
the Ontario Liquor Control Act with
its, a nultiplying idutlets. There is not
the slightest promise or hope that
such a change would improve condi-
tions in Huron, Nothing could be
more incredible than that more out-
lets would mean less thinking or
less nusiante caused by liquor. The
Huron Temperance Federation , be-
lieves in the 'Canada Tempers
Act. Advt.
