They were guests at the Thome of Mr. and Mr.. Peter Glingerich, also visiting with relatives. Mr and Mrs Paul Jeffrey, and the foraner's sister, Mrs. Ed. Laque and daughter of Detroit were in town on Monday. They were on their way hone from London where they had called on the former's mother, Mrs. C. Ayotte, who spent the winter months in the House of Providence, Hoene in that city. Major Baker Major Baker 62,- who had farmed all this life in Stephe Township, died at .his hone there April 23. He was been at Grand Bend and was an act- ive .mem'bee of Shipka United Church Surviving besides his wife are one daughter and two sons two siste s and two brothers. The remains rested at the Hoffman Funeral home from where the funeral was helld Saturday with interment in Grand Bend cent: etery. Died Suddenly at Dashwood The community was shocked - on Tuesday to learn of the sudden death of ;Mrs, John )Wein, in her 75th year.
