readings, etc. Mrs. E. Hey read a
splendid address and Mrs. E. Stelck
presented Mrs. Roche ,with a lovely
hand wrought tray. Mrs. Roche tak-
en by great surprise, replied very
firttisiigly. All joined for "she is a
JolIy Good Fellow." Followed by
other comdnunnty singing. Much•taug-
hter was enjoyed by all with telling
;jokes and merriment
Lunicheon was served, needless to
say one 01 the (!resit and plenty of,it.
Everyone enjoying the minutes as the
clock seemed td tick only too fast. A
vote of thanks was tendered to Mrs.
Hey. for her kindness of inrritmg the
friends to her home an making them
feel welcome. Adieu 'was said toMrs
Rothe and many invitations for her
return at any time, as fond memor-
ies will. not be forgotted. All joined
handis and sang "Blest Be The Tie
71hat Binds" and the "Queen', closed
this most pleasant social evening
which will long be remembered.

band had fanned till about 12 years

OBITUARY
Late William Sauve.
The shocking news arrived here on
Friday forenoon of the death or Mr
William Sauve, who died suddenly
while in his sleep at the home of
his brother in Toronto. Wthen Mrs.
Sauve had gone to call her husband
for •workthat morning, she- found
that life had passed away.It was most
shacking itOT words •to express. As he
hard never •complained at any time.
On returning the' previous evening,
he mentioned to his wife that he
might the taking the flu. He was
engaged lin truck driving and being
in his 55th year The funeral was
held from the Trull Funeral Chapel,
on Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock,
officiated by the Angelical Pastor.
Leaving hi.s sorrowing wife, iwo sis-
ters and one brother, all of 1 pronto,
and many relatives and .friends.
Those 'attending the funeral from
the Zurich district, are his :mother
and sister in-law, Mr and Mrs Bert
Cornforbh, Town Line; Mi aild Mrs
Edmund Desch, Mr. Rudy Oesch and
son, William Oesch; Mr. David Gesell
and Mr and 'Mi' Bert Faber or Kip -
pen. My .and Mrs Sauve had come to
Zurich tram Toronto and purchased
the.home from Mr. Harry Bedard and
remodelled the house to a modern
home. Having resided here for a few
tears. 'lihey being; ;Splendid neigh -
!:,:ours nand good friends, who will
greatly ntiss the departed. Mrs.
