Canadian Co -Operative Wool Grow- ers Limited 17 Bay Street Toronto The Voice of Temperance A few weeks ago a !series of art- icles 'in a Toronto daily undertook to lecture Huron County about the liquor situation alleged to exist there. Stories about drinking by minors were offered as evidence of the failure of the Canada Temper- ance Act. Now conies word that Mr. W. J. Cummins of the Victoria Coun- tyChildren's Aid Society, in a state- ment to the Kievanis Club, reporter:, ghat "four or five of every ten• girls in Lindsay of 14 or 1,5 have Leen drunk or have been drinking.' The point is that Lindsay and Victoria County are under the Liquor Con- trol Act. This shocking report is just further evidence that the Liquor Control Act is not protecting minors from the menace of strong drink. l/'Iaybe the friends of the Liquor Con- trol Act, with its many outlets better set their own house in order. It the people of Huron are wise, they will hold on to the Canada Temperance Mt which does not make strong drink so easyily available for either wild or young.—Advt.
