There was a large attendance or Lions present. Our Lions, not being able to find night's lodging in Windsor, crossed the river to Detroit, where they managed to get "bed and hoard" as the saying goes. We have no data on how Octlthe building could be, but we know it is one of the oldest hi town. Mr. Ed. Weltin who has been blacksmith all his life will retire from active duty, while Mr. Zimmer for - the present will move his equipment to the rear of his dwelling. The first at Lucan on Saturday eve. when they crossed sticks with those rugged boys of the south, who are in first 31 place in the League, and with some real hard •luck, were outskored by a considerable margin. Representative of Huron Co- unty, and remembers many incidents of those pioneer days, that was 35 years ago. Mr. Strothers is a very humorous after dinner speaker, with. •oi abundance of whitty happenings, he tells his things well, and scums to weave• one incident into another, has 15' a good memory and the ability to keep a large crowd in attention and much laughter. He told us about a trip he had to the Maratimes last year which was interesting. At the close of his address Carl Oestreicher mov- ed a hearty vote of thanks to Mr. Strothers. The entertaining part, of tthe evening was then turned over to Lloyd Wright and his troup a.rom London, who did their part to make everyone Laugh. After this Co. Pres.
