Mrs. Robert O. Lohr, the former
Hannah Ortwein, daughter of the late
Mr •and Mr J. W. Ortwein, Hensel),
passed away in Boswell, Penn., foll-
owing a lengthy illness. Surviving
besides her husband are two Daugh-
ters; two brothers, Milton, London;
and Alonzo, Lexington, Mich; and
two sisters, Mrs. J. A. Paterson and
Mrs!. G. M. Drysdale, Hensall.

CLERK RECEIVES HONORS
Honoring the retiring clerk-lreas-
urer of Clinton, the 1952 town co -1
uncil at its regular monthly meeting I
presented M. T. Corless with an en-
graved wrist watch and a check. G.
W. Nott, retiring mayor in making
the presentation said hi the past 12
years Mr Corless has servea ns clerk
treasurer he was always 100 per cent
the council owed him something that
never would be repaid

The Sunday School, along with the
choir of the Evangelical J. 1'3.
Church held their annual Christmas
Programme on Sunday evening in
the church where a very large aud-
ience attended. The program start-
ed off with the recitations and exer-
cises by the little tots which s al-
ways interesting and humorous. This
was followed by a cantata "Follow-
ing yonder Star" of which Mrs. Laird
Jacobe took the leading part by re-
citing scriptures pertainingtto the
various movements of the acts of
