THE DEMONS AND CHRISTMAS
<'aa
Have you ever stopped to wonder how the demons spent their
a Clooristmas? Could it be possible that they find any occasion to suee
mss to their cause at Christmas time, when our thinking and actions
are so completely revolutinnized? Satan has done his worst from
" else begining to hinder the work and purpose of the Babe of Bethlehem
;t. He made it necessary for Mary the mother of Jesus to go on a
tUong journey when an expectant mother could have been better cared
4 for at home. He saw to it that the inn at Bethlehem was well failed
4 (hoping this to be a means of defeating God's. purpose of redemption.
*':i^ Satan caused Herod to send out a decree that all baby boys should
be slain.. Satan tempted Christ in the wilderneas by offering to Hire
the kingdoms of the world through compromise rather than God's, ap-
*
pointed way, "The Cross.". All through the life and ministry of
4' Jesus he was haunted, hindered, and attacked by Satan cad hie de-
sasonds... in the midst of all the subtle attacks of Satan, this Babe of
Bethlehem who wee predestined to bruise the head of the Serpent,
tame through the arena of time Victeriuua, this qualifying to be our
:Saavieua from sin.... ... .... ,
Has Satan given up in his effort to defeat the cause of Christ-
anses?.. The answer is NO. Today Ise goeth about, as an "Angel of
bight" seeking whoa~ he may deceive.. Claaristmas,, has become the
moat occupied Pe agora of the year. People .ere rushing here and there,
.and even as in the day of Christ's birth, "we are too busy to behold
elle Babe." Satan has se commercialized Christmas that in the vic-
ious circle of ''giving to get" we forget the Unspeakable Gift of Gerd
We arta so enthusiastic about gifts to others, that we neglect the one
thing needful, "Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and ac-
sleptable unto God which is your reasonable aervice." Christ staid, "I
am the vine, ye are the branches." The branches of the christmas tree
to occupy our attention, that there is no time for Christ to adorn
our lives with the fruits of His Spirit. As Satan and his demons step
back a pace to behold their work of havoc, their greatest victory.ia
not seen in the "ungodliness of the ungodly," but in the "blindness
4 So..t the enlightened."
CHRISTMAS IS A BUSY TIME FOR THE DEMONS.
Let toe atop for a moment and rethink our plans for Christmas,
s and perhaps we will not work the demons, quite as hard. ..

A Happy New Year
TO ALL
WUERTH ELECTRIC - ZURICH
coming New Year. .
Years come and go, and with. it
joy mingled with grief. Many wno
were walking in our midst and tak-
ing part in the activities of the tioin-
munity the past year, today they
are numbered among the bygoners,
either by accident or by natural de-
cay;are not such lessons for ns to
ponder on, for even the Christmas
brings tidings of joy, it also 'erings
sorrow; and each of those uy-gone
years bring us nearer to our etern-
al end; and each of them brings fur-
ther accidents and destruction of
life, that can be well accounted for;
we today are living in a fast moving
world, or at least the peopee who
inhabit it are responsible of this time
we are nearing a two week span of
(holidays Before we undertake a voy-
age first let .us reflect on the un-nee-
essary precautions to take; let us re-
member to avoid any movement that
could cause tragedy to ourselves and
our loved ones, also others and their..
loved ones. Here is the secret to
much of it; of the weather observers
your view, keep away from the High-
ways if roads are slippery it will -be
dangerous driving, keep your car
off the road; and above all but not
the 'least don't drive if you ere not
capable of reasoning with yourself
and with others., By so doing Christ
mas and New Year holidays will not
only bring peace and joy to you and
yours. But you will be giving an
example to others who are less able
to exercise their will power. By so
doing you will be greatly contrib-
uting to your conununity.
Secret Business
"But darling" said the prospective
Bride, "if I marry you I'll lose my
job." "Can't we keep our marriage
a secret?" asked her finance. "But
suppose we have a baby". "Oh we'll
tell the baby of course."
