• Lions Club News
The annual Christmas :Party Tur-
key dinner was enjoyed Monday eve-
ning by the Lions in the nicely dec-
orated Dining Hall of the Dominion
House, when the hosts Ross and
Margaret Johnston and staff royally
entertained the Club. Practically ev-
erything one could wish for was on
the menu, even down to christnuts
cake and shortbread. The meeting
as usual was one of the most rousing
of the year, plenty .of singing with
Lion Tamer Gordon Hess doing the
leading, and Mrs. John Turkneim et
the piano. The many carols included
the immortal Tannenbaum in the
german language to those who knew,
it, and the last of the songs was ap-
propriately "Auld Lang Syne.' The
Lions all were in for a good evening
and they surely had just teat. In
the annual Christmas draw for the
club members, the following prizes
were won. 1st Ghristntas cake donat-
ed by Governor Victor Dinnin, and
-won by Milfred Scbilbe; 2nd chicken
by Lee O'Brien, won by Ed. ties:eo;
3rd chicken by Llody O'Brien, wan
by Gov. Vie Dinnin; 4th prize by
Ed. Gaseho, won by Hubert ,Seldilee.
