THE ELECTION
Monday was the first tiu.o
the people of Zurich had an oppor-
tunity to speak by • ballot who they
want for Police Trustees, as we
think it muct be near thirty years
since an elect'.rn was held. There
was consderable enthusiasm and by
noon a lot of people had been out
to cast their vote. In all 198 voters
were cut and marked their ballot:.
Out of the 198 votes cast Lloyd O'-
Brien was h'gh man with 197; Reg.
Illsley was second with 181; Milfred
S hilhe third with 130 and John
Tuerkheim fourth with 114. So
the fir t three mentioned will con-
stitute :the !11943 Board ,and we wish
them a very good year.
