ZURICH FALL FAIR
*,-
Tuesday afternoon was the time
and date set for the Zurich annual
fall Fah., and whoever picked that
time and date, really should be con-
gratulated, as the day was just right
not too hot nor too cold, with a
nice clear sunny clay. It went off
with a bang, headed by the Dashwood
Citizens' Band, who played wonder-
ful music during the afternoon on
the grounds, followed by the parade
of the various schools, who really
did a lot of preparation. The Major-
ettes also played their part. Since,
the 'weatherman was so kind, a large
!attendance was in evidence. The
/midway was very interesting with the
many concessions, merry-go-round,
the high ferris wheel, etc., all these
were well patronised and kept quite
husy. In the show house there was
Ithe best display we have seen m years
the many kinds and displays of fruit
and vegetables was indeed something
to behold. Then of course the big
how ring is always the ateraction.
ethe keenly competed calf club show-
ing was interesting) as were the lov-
ely horses, which were well trained
t and did their ?,rt very n;cely. Some
(very good cattle was exhibited, as
well as poultry. In all we taink it
was one of the most successful Fairs
Its our time in Zurich, which nears
'the fourth decade mark.. We cannot
/publish all the prize winners, as time
land space will not perrnit, but here
