icipal Council of the Village of
Hensall has given the Municipal Ge-
rmans of Hay and Stanley Town-
ships ample time to come to an
agreement over the matter oz. FIRE
PROTECTION, and have been un-
able to get any satisfaction as re-
gards the same from either of the
Municipal Councils.. Therefore after

New Doctor Arrives
Doctor J. B. Cockburn, a 1949
Graduate of Queens University Med-
ical College, Kingston, has taken
over the Medical Practice of Dr. T.
P. Keast, who is locating in the city
of Sarnia, after being in Zurich for
two and a half years, when he took
aver from the late Dr. P. J. O'Dwyer
Dr. Cockburn spent two years in
Ottawa Civic •Hospital;* one year or
which was devoted to surgery, foll-
owing lo - months in Europe with the
Department Natural li ealth and
Welfare, Canada. For the past two
months he spent in the Searorth
Clinic. He opened his office here in
Zurich.. early this week, is married,
have no children, and both come from
the City of Ottawa. Dr. Cockburres
Office hours are from 2 to 5 and 7 to
9 pm. We welcome tnem a$ citizens
of Zurich and community, and hope
they will feel at home in our midst.

Mrs, Peter Koehler
Funeral services for Mrs. Peter
Koehler, 92, who died in her steep at
her home in Zurich, were conducted
on Monday, Septeenuer 8th, by the
Rev. H. h. Roppel, in the Evangelic-
al ,Church. Interment was made. in
Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron, Her
husband died in 1945. Mrs. Koehler
was the former Carrie L. Spath, of
Baden, and had lived here 20 years.
She wa.s twice married, her first hue -
band being the. late Rev. C. Zink,
with whom she was in evangelistic
work in the Presbyterian Church, at
Port Huron. While here in Zurich,
Mrs. Koehler administered much kind
ness to the homeiese elder people by
opening her home to them and there-
by makingthem happy.
Late Mrs. Henry Krueger
Mrs. Henry Krueger, 77, who died
after a heart attack, in the K -W,
Hoepital, Kitchener, was born in Hay
Township. iShe and her husband
who died five years ago, farmed on
the 14th .Con., before moving to Dash
wood to live. She had lived in Kitch-
ener, with her daughter, since her
husband died, Surviving are two
daughters, Mrs. Wm. Zinkahn and
Mrs. .Carl Pielluseh, both .0f Kitchen-
er, and one sister, Mrs. Louis Miller,
Hay Township. Her husband and
two sons, namely, Mr. Elmer Krueg-
.er of the 14th Con., and Herbert of
Zurich predeceased. The body Is at
the. Roffman funeral Horne, Dash-
wood froin where services will be
held this Wednesday at 2 o'clock,
followed :',yst a service in Zion Luth-
eran March at 2.30, With Rev. T.
Luft, Hanover offieiating and inter-
ment in the Bronson ' line Luthmen
