children of this community.

Brucefield Merchant Passes
Services for Hugh Berry, .former
prominent merchant •at Brucefield
for 30 years, were held from the
Brucefield United Church, Tuesday
August 26th at 12.30 p.an. conducted
by Rev. W. J. Maines. The services
'were under the auspices of Bruce -
field I.O.O.F. Lodge and interment
in Baird's ;cemetery. The body rest-
ed' at the Beattie funeral • Koine, Clin-
ton, until Tuesday morning.
Berry, ,52, who passed away suddenly
at Scott Memorial Hospital, Seaforth
on Sunday 24th, was born in Bruce-
field, and except for a short period
in Wingharcn, had been there air his

Church, a past master and a past
district deputy of the IOOF lodge.
Surviving are his widow, the Iormer
Lavina Smith, two brothers, Bruce,
Clinton, and Wilson, Victoria, B.C.
